CHEF DE CUISINE (ASSISTANT EXECUTIVE CHEF) for Online Bistro
ADORABLE FRENCH BAKERY is hiring a full-time Chef de Cuisine—assistant to Executive Chef, Muriel D’Agostino. Our kitchen is professional, collaborative and friendly. Must be willing to work and learn alongside a quality-driven French chef. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and follow directions.
Under the executive chef’s guidance, the chef de cuisine will take charge of daily kitchen operations for our new BISTRO. Our BISTRO is currently fulfilling online delivery orders from our commercial kitchen, based in the Potrero Plaza, downtown Santa Cruz. Food preparation, inventory management, dinner service and staff training will fall under this position’s duties. Fluency in French language is a plus but not required.
Two years’ experience in kitchen management is preferred, but we are open to candidates with less experience who display great attitudes, and are willing to take direction from the founding executive chef.
Starting hourly wage is $25/hr., based upon experience and performance
The current schedule is: TUES – SUN, 4:00pm – 11:00pm (note: hours are still in-flux / not set)
